How old is the average male Olympic Gymnast

Steven Jehu visited our school today and told us that his aim is to go to the 2012 Olympics - naturally. He is 21 so that would make him 25 then. My parents were surprised and said that it would be his last chance at the Olympics. Is 29 too old?

Most male gymnasts who go to the olympics are in their 20's. 25 is not old for a male gymnast, but once you get to 29 that may be a little old. It really depends on the person and the stamina. Many male gymnasts do continue into their late 20 is and some are not able to.

Most of them tend to be old teens or young 20s
