im so excited but also nervous and when this happend l usually lose all my thoughts and my head goes blank. l cant believe this is actually happening to me. im 17. what are some good ways to shake my nervousness? l have an oral interview where they ask me questions and then l have to play but because im so nervous im prolly going to end up missing the ball and then i will never make it. =/ please help me...

think about what you want most when you step up. Accept the pressure and use it to your advantage. Thats the difference between a good athlete and a bad. Take the pressure as a way to make your playing more significant. Keep a straight face before you play, do not fidget, and do not think about anything . When l run, l call this autopilot ;)

Do not be nervous! Whatever happens for the is for the best! Be excited for this great opportunity! OMG you are so lucky and talented to make it this far, do not quit! Stay focused, and it is ok to be a little nervous, it is healthy.

seriosuly, everybody worries about everything before hand, and then afterwards thinks ''well, that was silly. l was fine!''
Maybe have a relaxing drink (like tea) before hand and chat with a friend about something completely different.
When it comes round to the interview, be completely natural, be yourself.

Just go for it. think of it like your 16th b day it is a very exciting day. Try your hardest and go for it. Thats all l can say

For the interview, just take 3-4 deep breaths before you go in, itll help your heart rate slow down, breathe slowly too.
As for when you play give it your hardest :)

Just keep your eye on the prize! If you've gotten this far (Which is amazing all by itself) then you obviously have something going for you. Just remember that these people are just people. l know how shaking it can be to perform- whether its sports, plays, or even just talking to someone new. It freaks you out, but you need to remember why you're doing it, and hopefully that will help.

Wonderful. l have not real advice on how not to be so nervous. The prize is huge. l am sure you are a great player and to be where you are is not by accident. Be confident in your abilities and think about the questions during the interview before answering.
