l am 15 years old, l have been Dorset is county champion for 100m and 200m for 4 years running, and have reached the English Schools for all years of Junior Boys. The thing is, there is no major competition in Dorset for me, so how do you think ill reach my dreams and goals? any advice?
l am 15 years old, l have been Dorset is county champion for 100m and 200m for 4 years running, and have reached the English Schools for all years of Junior Boys. l sprint the 100 metres in 11.5, with a crappy hamstring, and also the 200 metres in 23.12, with a crappy hammy aswell. The thing is, there is no major competition in Dorset for me, so how do you think ill reach my dreams and goals? any advice?
l am also in the top 20 in the UK for each events.

look up olympic times and make that your goal. compete against your self.

go to U.S.A or something

You gotta compete in some sanctioned event. Call the track coaches at some local universities. Talk to the USOC.

You just have to continue to work hard and have good self discipline.

The athletes in the olympics typically dont have jobs or any type of life because they constantly train and diet and workout. Just make sure that is what you want to do before going into it.

do more bigger competitions until a scout finds you! for example the south east champion chips or where ever u live!

well i'm a swimmer and i'm aiming to reach the 2012 olympics, in order to do this l have had to move clubs loads. now l am at the best club in the county, and already i'm improving just aafter six months.
so ultimately my advice is to switch to a better club, if there is one.
train hard, do what your coach says.
and head for your dreams mate, and l hope you make it (Y)

Running has to become your life. It has to consume you every hour. You have to enter competitions everywhere. Find a highschool that will provide good competition. You may have to pay to go to a different school or possibly move. This is a sacrifice for your dream. From that point on you need to make GREAT grades and work on getting running scholarships. Work hard and never give up. Olympians eat, drink and breath their sport and thats how they make it to the top.

Just train and train and train and make sure you are eating right. Get your name out there and go to as many competitions as you can. It does not matter that you do not have any competitin in Dorset county. In running your competition is really yourself. It does not matter what the other guys are doing if you are not getting faster. Just keep trying to beat what you did last time and keep improving. and remember what does not kill you only makes you stronger.

At 15 l was running low 11 is (11.10 - 11.3). It easy to get ur dreams. First, win the lottery or just run away from home. Move to London & make friends with Linford Christie or Colin Jackson. Get them to coach you. You will progress to a 10.3 100m in about 3 years. You will make the semi-finals of the World Junior champs in the 200m. You will then work hard over the next 3 years & get ur times down to 10.10. You will stall in the 100m & then work on ur 200m. You will get ur time down below 21 seconds. In the 2016 Olympics u will make the semi-final of the 200m with pb of 20.57. You will be part of the Great Britain 4x100m where u will get a surprise upset silver medal. You will retire as the 6th fastest ever British athlete & will marry a supermodel from Slovenia & be a millionaire from the money u make from sports endorsements. You will move to a small coastal town in Italy where u will manage a little cafe near the beach.

Unfortunately, u will kill yourself at the age of 92 when u forget to put the parking brake of ur hover-car on & it will knock u over, breaking ur hip. You will lie a puddle of ur own wee for 3 days before u r found. But do not worry - u had a great innings..
