Track and Field for my school does not start until like February, l have one and a half months to get prepared. Last year my highschool came in 2nd place in the city finals. My relay team made it to the provincials but we did pretty bad. l wanna do much better this year. What can l do to prepare for Track Season.

The events l am doing are 100m, 200m, high jump, long jump,and maybe the 400m.l dont do long distances. What type of exercises should l do to strengthen my muscles. It is snowing outside where l live, and the track and roads are filled with slippery ice.
So please recommend me some workouts where l dont need to sprint outside or go to the track, it is very cold right now where l live, and the snow is about 30m thick.l have a treadmill at home, but it does not go that fast.

You should run on the treadmill if you do not have an indoor track. Lift weights and do plyometrics.
Stretch to improve your flexibility.
Doing some short strides in the gym will keep you limber.
If you are strong, flexible, and have good stamina you will be ready for track practice.
