subtract 6 from 48 and divide 48-6 by -7 and a should be<= your answer, im not telling you the answer though :)

subtract 6 from both sides.
-7a<=42
Divide by -7 on both sides
a<=6

that is an incorrect problem it can not be both an inequality and an equation

-7a=42 a=6
a<=6
trust me this l right its an inequalities equation

-7a <= 42 a >= -6
you flip the <= because you divide
|
|

couzo

a >= -6
a is greater than or equal to negative six

the not possible cus u can not have an inequality sign with an equal sign

Subtract the 6 from 48 = 42 Solve for A by dividing 42/-7 = -6
a <= -6
l think that is right You may have to reverse the greater/less than sign due to their being a negative number or because you're dividing. You should be able to check on that. Ask your teacher. It is been years.

solve it the same exact way as if the <= sign was an equals sign but remember that when making the variable positive. the sign flips so its the opposite of what it originally was because your making the VARIABLE the opposite of what it originally was
good luck!

-7a + 6= 48 -6
-7a = 42
a = -6

-7a + 6 <= 48 -7a <= 48-6 -a <= 42/7 -a <= 6 a >= 6

-7a + 6 <= 48
-7a <= 42
divide all terms by -7
a<= 42/-7
a<= -- 6

-7a + 6 <=48 First subtract 6 from both sides, you get: -7a <= 42 Then divide both sides by -7, when you do this the direction of the sign is changed: a >= -6 That is it :)

you must isolate the variable in order to solve-
so, first subtract 6 from both sides
-7a+6 -6 <= 48 - 6
then divide by 7 on both sides
-7a/7 <= 42/7
then multiply both sides by (-1)
(-a) * -1 <= 6 (-1)
then you have your result
a <= -6

-7A + 6 <= 48
1.) get rid of the 6 by subtracting from both sides
-7A + 6 - 6 <= 48 - 6
-7A <= 42
2.) divide both sides by 7 so A is alone
(-7A /7) <= (42/7)
-A <= 6
3.) multiply both sides by negative (-) so A is positive ***remember to switch the inequlatiy sign (you do that when you multiply or divide by a negative)
-A * (-) <= 6 (-)
A <= 6

Treat the <= as if its an equality and proceed as if u would do for =.
Just insted of = sign plug the <= sign. No worries.
So
-7a + 6 <= 48 -7a <= 48 - 6 -7a <= 42 -a <= 42/7 -a <= 6 or a <= -6

first off, u willw ant to divide ur two sides of ur equation -7a+6 <= 48 meaning either side of the equal sign, now remember with variable equations, whatever u do on one side u must do to the other. You now want to get ur variable alone, so remove all the acsess, subtract six from both sides, -7a<= 42 after that u will want to get a by itself to figure out what it equals, so u must divide both sides by -7, in any greater than or less than equation u have to flip the sign of the symbol if dividing by a negative, so ur answer is a>= -6
