How do they afford a home & pay there bills when they are training?

Do they have sponsors?

l mean they must have a job or something.

They have sponsors and the olympic committee of that country pays them. also some of the less known athletes will probably have jobs on the side.

they have sponsors and it depends on your countries government for example for every gold medal the US won that athlete got 25 thousand dollars but for every medal canada gets you get a free ride home and most of them do have jobs but not in china where if you are an athlete the government basically pays for you , your job is to be an athlete

They get tons of money from sponsors, like Phelps with his speedo contract that is like up to a mil. Plus if you win a medal you get money for that too from your country, like for a gold it is $200,000 silver $100,000 bronze $60,000 or something. But a bulk of their money comes from sponsors.

l think most of them, who arent big time guys like phelps, have regular jobs and train after work and on weekends. like l dont think alicia sacramone has sponsors. l remember some winter olympic speed skater talking about how he worked at home depot.

most of them are just regular-as s people like you and me but with talent skill and dedication

i'm wondering the SAME thing.
