olympics because not everyone likes football but in the olypics there is something for everyone even for thoose who dont like sport can watch the openeing and closing ceremony and olympics is on nearly all day where as the world cup isnt

depends on what country you are from. In America, the world cup is not really that hyped up, unless you play soccer. More people pay attention to the Olympics because it is a much bigger event.
