China tops US in gold medal race , what do u guys think

well that is pretty easy to see, as they (china) had the most gold medals

USA is still the greatest country in the world

l have nothing against them winning. i'm sure they worked hard for those medals, as did all the other countries winning their medals. since i'm from the USA, it would have been nice if they have gotten gold in all their competitions, but we do not need to win everything, even though it would be nice, but that probably is not realistic.

Even though China had the most gold medals in the events of the olympics, technically the USA had the most gold medals (most athletes).
*team events in which they got the gold medal (multiple athletes) such as women/men basketball, men volleyball, women rowing, and track and field relays just to name a few.*

They have shown the world they are a force to be reckoned with.

Good for them l suppose, but it does not make it any better to live there!
It was inevitable, no country see is the olympics like they do. They see it as a way to get revenge for '100 years of national humiliation' at the hands of the imperialist west'
No country, has such brutal training, taking 5 year old kids to train to breaking point, & of over 25,000 only several hundred will go the olympics, & the rest will have little to no education, & will be worse off for the rest of ur life.

But hey, if u take pride in the sacrifice of 25,000 kids, for the greater good- the pride of a communist government desperately trying to justify itself to the world, & to a lesser degree its people, then by all means do so.
