And even if we had not won a single one, we would still be as proud as hades of our athletes and their efforts. Hey get it straight that is beer-bottle throwing! lol!
Yes the first week is always slow for us because of the order of the events that take place in that week-mainly swimming. And as we all know, our swim team is in a re-building phase. But we will be back!

Yup, they took gold in moose wrestling, bottle throw and back bacon tossing. Nah..Just kidding. They did well. l think they took home something like 18 medals. nice goin,eh?

Edit 1) BooBoo81 points out something l did not get across in my attempts a levity. Proportionately, 18 medals is excellent performance given the population.

Canada has a tiny population of less than 50 Million people, China has 1.3Billion people. We should not even try to compare to those numbers.

l am proud of the athletes and their accomplishments.
