I am a huge Olympic Games enthusiast who is been absolutely glued to the Beijing Games, and am very lucky that in four years time the Games will be coming to the city l live in, namely London.

However, the question l can not help wondering is how much will the ticket prices be to go and see the events? l know they've not been formally announced, but does anyone know perhaps on the basis of previous Games how much they might be - particularly for the Opening and Closing ceremonies?

l do not care how much l have to save up and for how long l have to do it, l will be there to witness this once in a lifetime experience.

expensive mate! the tickets in Sydney were! a lot are snapped up by corporations, overseas tourists and as far as l can remember not a lot of local tickets were out in the market, someone correct me if l am wrong. l dont want to give this ''bloke'' the wrong info

do not know but l really want to go over to it!! will have to pay for a flight aswell though!!! it will probably be the closest the olympics will every be to us(ireland)!!!! cant wait!!!

The most expensive tickets will be for the opening ceremony and will cost £1000. The cheapest tickets will be £15. Two thirds of all tickets will cost less than £50. The most expensive tickets will be for the premium events, e.g. men is 100m. By way of comparison, the most expensive tickets for Vancouver 2010 are $1,100 (for the opening ceremony) followed by $775 for the ice hockey final.

l looked for prices of the Beijing games and for opening ceremonies, they were like anywhere from 200 U.S. dollars to 5,000 U.S. dollars. And closing were like 150-3,000. But l could not tell you for sure. Just a guess. (and yeah, l also plan on going to those games)
