l am guessing the producers did ask them to participate, but that they were too busy with other things to be able to. Nastia finished high school & Shawn only trains four hours a day compared to the other girls' 6 to 7 hours, so she probably has more time to catch up with homework, while Sam & Bridget need their weekends to do that. Besides, l think Alicia said she did not know if she was going to continue in gymnastics & she seemed pretty shaken up after what happened in Beijing, so my guess is she really has no desire to participate right now, which l can understand.
l think the tour will still be really fun, & l will certainly buy tickets!
