Do you feel todaysis olympic games have more to do with demonstrating and celebrating the accomplishments of individual athletes or more to do individual countries? Why?

This depends on ur perspective of the Olympics. If u view the Olympics as just another Sporting event, then yes, u will only see the accomplishments of individuals. However if u r an Olympic Purest like myself then u see the whole varity of everything like the athletes just wishing to compete & to represent their proud nation. Coverage is a big issue, with the local countries broadcast being biased & focusing on top stories while diving little into the side stories of the games. What u get on TV dose not scratch the surface of the games & what it means to millions of people around the world. Take it from me who has been involved with the games personally in 1984, once u spend 2 weeks actively involved with the olympics u will never view the games the same way again.
