Am l going to gymnastics if l am going to tumbling and whats the difference?

that'd be a tumbler by my standard.

the only difference is that in tumbling u generally only do the floor (on competition teams u usually do the vault too) in gymnastics there is floor, beam, bars & vault. my sister used to take tumbling (so did l but l quit to get more into musicals/acting 0_o) but then she switched over to gymnastics & she loves it. she loved tumbling to but wanted to try beam & bars. if beam & bars r something u would like to do u should take gymnastics instead of tumbling. im not sure whether or not u would be called a gymnast cause everyone has their own opinions on that.

Gymnastics is one hell of a sport.

sure do anything that involves moving the body on the floor/mats can be doing gymnast moves. so l guess that you are a gymnast.

Gymnasts- do bars, beam, vault, and floor
Tumblers- just floor and tumbling passes
