Yeah, im a 15 year old boy. l was wondering if l was too old to start gymnastics. Will it make me more flexible? What would people think??

l was inspired by the Olympics.
If l do catch on rather quickly? How long will it take me to be at an elite level? As in Olympian status? Will it take long to get as good as to be able to do 2016? or 2012?

15 years old is not to Old to begin but do not expect miracles straight away. it will take you a while to get to an elite level but maybe bye like 2016 or 2020 :D

You r not too old to start gymnastics. Men can actually get away with starting gymnastics at a later age than women can. It would make u more flexible, if u do it more than once a week & practice ur flexibility at home. It will also increase ur strength a lot.

If you're really serious about gymnastics, u have to take it more than once a week. Most young beginners start off with a 1 to 2 hour class once a week. Since u r older though, u may have some catching up to do, plus ur body will respond best to taking classes at least twice a week.

As far as the Olympics go, most men have been training, at the least, 8 years before they r able to compete at the level u see on television. The good news is that men have much more longevity in gymnastics than women, so competing into ur late twenties & early thirties is quite possible.

r u serious? normally if you go to the olympics at age 15 your already at elite level. Believe me l am a level 8 and 13. You will deffinetly not make it plus it is very hard and physical which means you have to learn EVERYTHING like double twisting doubles. yeah right ur crazy

Well my mom said the same thing to me too! If your a beginner at 15 then thats ok! l think that your not too old to join!
