l noticed in some of the coverage l was watching on ABC 1, that the cyclists and swimmers were able bodied. l know not all Paralympians have to have a disability to compete. Although they are very strict on athletes eligibility to compete.

All Paralympians have to have a disability but it does not have to be physical (eg missing a hand). The winner is not necessarily the person who finishes first: each disability is rated on severity, someone with a more severe disability may win gold over the first place who is ''less'' disabled. In swimming for example, S1 is severely disabled & S10 is minimally disabled for athletes with physical disabilities, & S11 (totally blind) to S13 (legally blind) for visually impaired athletes.

It may be because they are blind for the swimmers, not sure about the cyclists. A club foot makes a person eligible to compete, you do not know what the cyclist is feet actually look like.

They could have Cerebral Palsy, drawfism or some other disability or Visual disability

The pilet rider in the tandom does not have any disability, the one on the back is vision impaired.
